For help with the launch of his new venture, he called up his friend Sully Erna, lead singer of Godsmack, for advice. That advice, along with his quick contractor connections, brought the two friends together to transform the space at 4 Cobbetts Pond Road in just two short months. The result? An upscale steak house right in the middle of Windham -- the first of its kind here. You’d have to travel into Boston to get the caliber of steak and seafood found here in this NH gem.
Zachary, a self taught chef and seasoned entrepreneur, is happier than ever with the new direction his career, and indeed whole life, has taken. He loves the entertaining aspect of the restaurant business in particular. In fact, he believes “all good things revolve around food.” Being able to make somebody’s day just by creating a meal that makes them happy…well, that makes him happy and boosts his confidence to hear those compliments – something he didn’t have very much of growing up.
At Zachary’s Chop House, the entire staff strives for perfection, taking pride in what they’re doing. By opening an upscale steak house experience in Windham, Zachary is happy to be bringing local excellence in dining to the locals, without compromising flavor or quality – and without the hassle of a commute into Boston.
He prides himself on choosing the best cuts of meat and freshest seafood, bolstering the local economy in the process. Because he spent time as a commercial fisherman, he knows the hard work and dedication they put into each and every day’s work. By keeping the little guys in business, Zachary is better able to offer consistent, quality and just downright delicious food within an elegant atmosphere close to home.
